Questions for JWs
by larc indear jw,.

as i understand it, if armageddon came tomorrow, those that never heard the truth, in such places as india or china would either live through armageddon or die and be resurrected.

We'll I'm not trying to be a prick but I've heard that S.H.I.T. one before years ago and am convinced that this is one example of JW Urban Legends.
An embarrising moment for me was when I was a teenager and my little twin sisters were about 2yrs old sitting in the front row at the public talk. I like so many was living a bit of a double life. Anyway, one sister dropped a book during the meeting and said loudly with so much exasperation..."Ah! F***!". Many heard, even the speaker paused to look at our christian family. My mom gave me the filthiest look I'd ever seen in my life!

Well, even though misdirected at me I'll say this. The elders and most friends knew that I was pissed at what happened to my wife and how it made her lose her faith but not mine. Sadly, to some extent it's going to look like her Jezebel influence was somewhat successful. Also, I put up a smoke screen of saying I was going to go to another hall (my old one) on account of the average age of my newer congo being 70 (not kidding). Now nobody knows who's problem I am, anyone familiar with our situation is sick of trying to help and get nowhere, and I turned off my answering machine for awhile. If your in a city with lot's of halls do the same thing, that kind of confusion is too much for your average overworked elders to sort out.

Hey Dunns, sometimes in the morning when I shave after a shower I look down and wonder:
1) Is my dink looking away from me to be rude?
or
2) Is my dink talking to my feet and the jokes on me?What do you think? (I mean really, how can I ever know?)

JWs: They Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To
by Room 215 inone thought for long-time dubs..... the wts's interminable bragging about their ``spiritual paradise'' and ``nation of ministers'' aside, there are signs that the leadership is hip to the flagging commitment on the part of the rank and file.
notice how the summer district conventions have shrunk over the years.
what would the attendance figures would look like if the gb tried to revive the old practice of eight-day assemblies, with sessions lasting until 9:00 p.m. every day?

Off the point perhaps but before I finally left this year I was struck with just how slim the "normal" witnesses had been trimmed to since I was a teenager, seems anyone with a social aptitude able to carry on a normal down to earth life was gone in my mid 20's. Just took me a little longer to stop going w/o guilt realizing it's not the truth (what a relief!), to stop hangin' with social retards because it's the "right thing to do". Sorry if that sounds bitter, but hey, truth is truth.

Concerning Simplicity
by dunsscot ini'll be back later to take care of brother larc and others.
for now, i want to share a brief quote taken from albert einstein.
if the doctor fouls up the quote, he takes full responsibility for any legal ramifications that may append thereto.

What about Paul saying that he should speak in such a way that the hearer understands so as not to be speaking into the air? Now that a good god-fearing JW has learned that ONE scripture tells him to do something he'd better do it or be disfellowshipped!!! (eg: Birthdays, meetings,...)
Now keep it simple Dunns or be caste out of God's good side for good!

Silentlambs and Signifiers that Signify Nothing
by dunsscot incall me a neopositivist, a semi-verificationist or semi-falsificationist, but the claims made by "silentlambs" reminds me of the shakespearean line that was quoted in the creator book published by the wtbts.
that is, the contentions of silentlambs seem like much "sound and fury" that in truth signify nothing.
i am of course referring to the supposed dateline show and the claims made about some members of the gb of jehovah's witnesses.
